Year Round Programs

MONTHLY SWEAT

Monthly sessions to connect with other wonderful artists in our community. We’ll kick that feeling of isolation in the guts and get together to move, breathe and sweat. Meet new people, reignite old flames, make new friends, share a laugh with your talent-crush, and have a blast getting physical with a bunch of legends!

PREPARE TO PERFORM

Have you got a show coming up? Whether you’re acting, directing, producing, or crewing, rehearsals and performances can be mentally and physically draining. An irregular schedule with opening night creeping steadily closer can raise stress and anxiety levels, and leave our minds and bodies frazzled. Come move, sweat, breathe, and clear your mind with our performance packages!

Ideal for whole casts/companies, we will customise a program for members of your project. We’re flexible with the number of sessions per week, and type of classes that would benefit your particular production. Strengthen the connection between your entire team. DE-STRESS DE-ROLE DE-BRIEF

Yoga and Meditations to help you disconnect after you perform, or are involved in any performance that can make your energy levels and your mood drop. “Post-show blues” is REAL - take care of yourself, by letting us take care of you. Ideal for whole casts/productions.

FIT FOR FRINGE

How physically demanding is your Fringe show? Do you need to up the movement in your life so your Fringe season doesn’t shock your body into overload? After ideas on how to keep yourself eating healthy and nourishing foods, optimal sleeping times and routines to keep you feeling fresh for each moment you jump on (or back) stage?

How mentally demanding is your Fringe show? Need to practice keeping your attention set for a 3 week run without completely burning out by the end? After techniques to get that single-pointed focus for the duration of each show, after days and days of rehearsal, tech, dress and soaring stress levels.

Are you a member of Equity? We are super passionate about being a part of the Union so we have a stronger voice to fight for funding in the arts and the safety of everyone when involved in productions. If you are a Equity member, we’ll discount your classes and programs!

LEAVING VCA?

We have a special discounted plan for those excited graduates coming out of the VCA into this world of limited structure and masses of free time. This plan allows you to join any of the programs running up to a year after your final day for a discounted price. We encourage you to delve into a community of artists with similar values and schedules, to keep communication about your post art school mental health open and honest with others who have experienced similar situations in their journey.
